The Cellar Toranomon Hills

Jun. 12

I went to “The Cellar Toranomon Hills” which is a new wine shop at “Fukushimaya Tasting Market” in Toranomon Hills Businnes Tower B1F.

The new building opened yesterday.

The shop is stylish.

There are a lot of fine wines.

You can choose Relax Wine, too.

You should go to the new wine shop.

I bought several gourmet delis for dinner at Fukushimaya.

1st Domaine de Pepouy Colombard Sauvignon 2017 1,000 yen + tax

It is made from 50% Colombard and 50% Sauvignon Blanc grown in the estate vineyards of an Armagnac producer in South-West France.

I felt very clean fruits, fine-impressive acidity and nice minerals.

The style is very pure & natural.

It is just my favorite style.

Tasty!

2nd Domaine de Pepouy Tannat Merlot 2017 1,000 yen + tax

Tannat is a local grape variety in South-West France and becomes a solid style red wine.

Because the grape is strong for rain, it is probably good for Japanese weather, they say recently.

This blend with Merlot got a big success, I think.

I like a lot of fine red berries, mild tannin and very comfortable mouthfeel.

The grapes picked up in mid night to keep cool temperature.

It is delicious!
