After I watched the movie ” Usuke Boys” the day before yesterday, I have been wanting to taste Japan Wine.
1st Domaine Kosei Merlot Rose 2019 2,700 yen + tax Domaine Kosei is a new winery in Shiojiri Nagano.
This Merlot Rose is the first release of the winery.
Mr. Ajimura, who is the grape grower & winemaker, used to be the chief winemaker of Chateau Mercian.
He is the same generation with me and used to be my co-employee in Mercian.
I have kept the friendship with him for 37 years.
I felt a dry mouthfeel at first.
Then charming red berries and flowery elegance gradually appeared.
The taste was really elegant.
I am sure that it is a very fine rose wine.
2nd Coco 10R Pinot Rose 2018 3,000 yen + tax This rese is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in Kimura Farm in Yoichi Hokkaido.
This rese is produced at 10R winery in Iwamizawa by Mr. Bruce Gattlove from 100% Pinot Noir grown in Kimura Farm in Yoichi Hokkaido.
It is a very good wine, too.
I felt very fine-natural fruits by Bruce and some complex-voluptuous flavor by Kimura-san.
The color is rose but the taste is an elegant red Pinot Noir wine.
Today’s two rose wines are contrastive pare.
I like both wines very much!
