New arrivals from Sicilia

Sep. 11

W have kept unbelievably hot days in Tokyo.

I was going to have a No Wine Day but I couldn’t.

1st Palazzi Catarratto 2018 860 yen

It is a new arrival from Sicilia in Italy.

It is made from 100% Catarrato, a local grape variety.

I felt very fresh aroma, crispy fruits, fine acidity and nice minerals.

The style is very clean and natural.

It is quite different from ordinary cheep wines we often find, I think.

Very good!

2nd Palazzi Nero D’Avola 2017 860 yen

The red is made from 100% Nero D’Avola grown in Sicilia.

The grape normally becomes dark and full-bodied high alcohol wine.

But it is quite different from the normal style.

It is a really cool and elegant red wine.

I felt charming black fruits like a black cherry or plum, slight bitter & spice and good minerals.

I think, it has a super high cost performance.
