No Wine Day

Jul. 16

I took an annual health examination.

1st Ante Hirpis Greco 2018 Sample Tasting

After two “No Wine Days”, I started tasting wine from a sample bottle.

Alberto, the owner of Cescon Winery in Veneto, introduced me this white wine.

It is made from 100% Greco, which is a local grape in south Italy, grown in Campania.

I felt very rich fruits aroma like a peach or apricot at first.

The taste is also very fruity.

I also felt a nice acidity and minerals.

It was very tasty.

I was sure again and again that Alberto knows a very good wine..

2nd Foncalieu NU.VO.TE 2018  Sample Tasting

Foncalieu is the winery that produces Marquis de Beau Rond.

It is a brand-new wine of the winery.

It is made from 100% Artaban, which is a new variety of French vines, grown in Languedoc.

The alcohol degree is very low as Languedoc wine, 11.5% !

I felt a very natural nuance, dense fruits and mild tannin.

It is a very concentrated red wine but very soft and mild.

It’s a very unique style of Languedoc wine.

Very interesting!
