1st Kusunoki Winery Chardonnay Cask Matured 2015 4610 yen
It is made from 100％ Chardonnay grown in the estate vineyards in Nagano.
It has very good reputations but I hadn’t tatsted this before.
Oh! I felt very big and elegant fruits witha little good oaak cask nuance.
Also I was amazed in the very fine minerals.
I was sure that this Chardonnay is very special.
It is one of the best Chardonnay wines in Japan, I think.
Well, it may be the top class Chardonnay in the world.
2nd Kusunoki Winery Merlot 2013 2880 yen
The red is also surprisingly nice.
At first, I felt a light matured nuance.
Then the very fine-elegant red fruits gradually came up.
Then I felt some voluptuous flavor like a very fine honey and propolis.
I also felt some good bitter taste in the after taste.
It’s a very deep, complex and sexy red wine, isn’t it?
If I taste this by blind, I would not say it is a Japan Wine.
I was sure again that Kusunoki is a very special winery in Japan.
