It was a so hot and humid day.
1st Essay White 2017 920 yen
It was made from Chenin Blanc grown in South Africa.
I felt rich fruits, clean acidity and nice minerals.
If I taste this by blind, I wouldn’t say it is New World wine.
It is a very cool and elegant white wine.
2nd Antugnac La Closerie des Lys Rouge 2015 1080 yen
Usually, I don’t choose a French wine after tasting a New World wine.
However, because the first wine was so cool & delicate, I chose a Languedoc red today.
I felt very charming red berries and nice acidity.
This cool taste was very good for such humid day.
