Kirinoka Wine tasting dinner

Apr. 23

I organized a wine tasting dinner with my friends, who were wine professionals.

We gathered at Ginza Furutoshi.

I often use here for wine tastings recently, because their cuisines are very nice.

The main tasting was Kirinoka Wine, which is one of the smallest wineries in Japan located in Iwate.

The production of Kirinoka Wine is only 320 bottles per year.

Mr. Numata, who is the winemaker of Kirinoka, brought his new vintage 2017 and the previous vintage 2016.

They are made from 100% Riesling Lion, which is a hybrid grape in Japan.

We were very impressed in the fresh & fruity aroma of the 2017 vintage.

Also, the 2016 vintage was very elegant.

Both of them were very fine.

I brought Kuzumaki Sparkling Wine 2003, which is also made from Riesling Lion grown and bottled in Iwate.

We enjoyed elegant babbles, good mature touch, rich fruits and nice minerals.

The others were,

Kisvin Chardonnay 2013

Edel Wine Cabernet Franc 2014

Provence Rose 2016

Chassagne-Montrachet Les Champs Gains 1995

Clendenen Family Nebbioro 2008

All of the bottles were very nice.

I enjoyed them deeply.

Then we enjoyed dangerous talks of our wine business.

It was a very nice party.

Let’s gather again!
