I cooked dinner tonight. Ika-sashimi and Kimuchi-nabe. They were very nice.
1st Pesquie Chardonnay 2004 1000 yen
When I drank this 2004 vintage as soon as the arrival, I thought it was still young and slightly hard. But today it was really getting far better.
I found and enjoyed a lot of good balance of great grape essence. I thought we could expect it would be getting better and better.
It was very good for Kimuchi-nabe.

2nd Chateau Pesquie Terrasses 2003 1250 yen
The sales has been not going down after the pricing up. It is a very rare case for me. The sales for all of the others that were priced up went down very much. It means the quality of this is clearly very high. I was sure the taste is not in the class of 1000 yen wine. The class is absolutely different.
Because it is easy to find the difference, we need not appeal to consumers that it was made by total destemming, 15 to 18 days maceration, ageing 30 % in big oak vats - 70% in cuvees or the vintage 2001 got 91 point by The Wine Advocate 147. I think this 2003 is also a great vintage, super elegant, really complex, amazing stuff !
It was really delicious !
