Glen Carlou is one of the top Pinot Noir producers in South Africa. The winery said that this is made from the new clones of Pinot Noir and matured for 12 months in specially selected 700 litter French oak barrels. It is very good Pinot Noir.
I felt impressive black fruits flavor like a dried plum and black cherry. I thought this was really good Pinot Noire but the style was different from a good Pinot Noir both Burgundy and California.
