This is a really premium wine. This is our private brand made by Domaine Catin in Languedoc.
80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, which are grown by natural method. I am sure the vintage 2003 is outstanding. It was very hot and very small raining in 2003. I heard a lot of grapes were damaged by the heat whether in Languedoc 2003.
But because the old vine which made this premium wine had very long roots, they pumped a lot of water for the grapes. Then the winery was able to harvest fabulous grapes. Complex, spicy fruit and oak entwined with black berry nuances.
The palate shows balance and harmony within its very elegant structure.
Good harmony of tannin and fruit flavor with a long finish. It was outstanding wine in the class.
