I received this from South Africa. This is the first premium white wine made by Tyrrel Myburgh who is called " Genius " by me. I was sure again " He is Genius" when I drank this white wine.
It was a outstanding white wine ! It was fabulously rich, full-bodied white wine. It was also very sharp, very cool. There were nothing too much pushy taste. It was very clean, crisp and very big. I admired the unusual super balance.
I felt it was like both of super California Viognier and super Rhone white wine. I will buy this.
The grape variety is Viognier 60% and Chenin Blanc 40%. Only 2600 bottles were produced.

Domaine Pierre Damoy Bourgogne 2001

I was surprised. It was different from my previous image of this Pinot Noir.
It was a outstanding Bourgogne. I was very impressed by long long acidity. I felt quite unusual complex taste compared with ordinary very good Bourgogne red wine. It was not so big taste, like big fruits nor big cask flavor. It was very cool and natural but very deep.
The fruits was also very fresh even 2001 vintage. I thought it is very difficult to make such kind of Pinot Noir taste by using the other grape variety. I call it is the Pinot Noir magic.
