1st Niel Ellis Elgin Chardonnay 2003

The winery produces this Elgin Chardonnay only around 600 cases per a year. This is sold at only the winery's shop and Cave de Re-Lax. This is a full bodied Chardonnay, savory, dry but nutty and mellow, like a great Meursault. I thought it was not originally for drinking very hot summer time, but I really enjoyed this. The very nice balance of the wine let me feel so good. I was sure that we could enjoy great wines whenever.
2nd Niel Ellis Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

Hans, owner of the winery, brought this great red wine to Japan himself last month. I heard the vintage 2003 was one of the greatest vintage recently in South Africa. I recognized it was true by drinking this Cabernet Sauvignon. I thought this was the best Cabernet Sauvignon for me from Neil Ellis. This is an outstanding wine. I also thought it was not originally for drinking very hot summer time, but I also really enjoyed this red.
I drank this with very cool temperature.
