May 3 I went to l'Essence, French restaurant new opened in Ebisu, today. I have been fan of Mr. Inoue, owner & Chef of the restaurant, for long time. I felt the new restaurant was very stylish and very good atmosphere.
There were a lot of " a la Carte". While I selected what I was eating prudently with drinking Champagne and eating Jmon Serrano, I felt as if I were French man.

All dishes were great! Outstanding! This was the first time I had tried Mr.Inoue cuisine since April last year. I thought his cooking was power up and getting be more natural. more sophisticated.
I was also surprised all dishes were really reasonable. Wine list was also great.
There were a lot of people tonight. All of the tables were reserved. I really enjoyed the dinner tonight. Thank you very much for such a great dinner, Mr.Inoue.
Then we went to New York Bar at the Park Hyatt in Sinjuku.
I drank Calera Central Coast Pinot Noir 2001. Thanks a lot for Yokota-san.
