It was day off today.
I took gangs from France to a one night two days ONSEN tour.
At first we went to Yurari ,a modern day-stay ONSEN located at the foot of Mt.Fuji.
The gangs made merry very much with a lot of type of springs, outside, cave, barrel, etc.
I heard it was the first time they had taken outside spring. They were getting heat up !
We were able to see Mt.Fuji from a barrel spring.
After we took bath, we had a lunch at the restaurant in Yurari. We ate a HOUTOU, a special local pot food around here.
Of course it was also the first time they had had the pot food. I was surprised that they really enjoyed HOUTOU a lot.
Then we drive through the foot of Mt.Fuji and arrived at Nanasawa Onsen.
We stayed at Tamagawa-kan which was a really traditional style hotel in Japan named RYOKAN.
They wore YUKATA and took a ONSEN again.
They seemed to love ONSEN very very much.
Then we had special dinner at the RYOKAN, dishes made by edible wild plants and SHISHINABE, the meat of wild boar and vegetables in a pot, a really "GIBIER" in Japan.
We enjoyed a local sake MASUZAKARI at first then we drank a lot of wine with the local foods, was really wonderful combinations.
Especially, the harmony of SHISHINABE and their South France wines were really outstanding.
We drank a lot of wines the we chose the top three wine this night.
Takeda winery Muscat-berry-A San Soufre 2004
.... Japanese wine was very good for Japanese cusine.
Chateau de Montfaucon Baron Louis 1995
.... The first vintage wine for Ludi who was in charge of wine making
Chateau Pesquie Quintessence 1990
.... The first vintage top cuvee of the winery.
Then we went back our room and heated up more. I am really sorry for the house guests of others.
