This very nice white was made from Cotes de Saint-Mont, unknown producing area in South-France.
I don't know why Madiran, a producing place next here, is well known, but Cotes de Saint-Mont is not.
Any way, we often find a very good "cost performance" wine with unknown producing area. This white is the typical one.
2nd
Plaimont Bastions Rouge 2003 950 yen New arrival
The red from the same winery was also very nice. The red wine was made with Tana, a local grape variety.
One of the character of wine made by Tana is known as tannic.
This red had a big volume of tannin but it was very elegant and very good balance.
