It was unusual a rose wine of Corse. The bottle was very unique. It was verygood, but I could drink a bit because I had to reduce a drinking.

Araucano Alka Carmenere 2002 Sample tasting
Price is expected 6000yen around
This is the most expensive wine made by 100% Carmenere of Araucano in Chile. The vintage 2002 is the first one. However Carmenere was came from Bordeaux, there has been no Carmenere for a long time. Carmenere came to Chile in the 19th Century, then Chile is almost only country where Carmenere was grown on. For a long time Carmenere had been misunderstood as Merlot, it was found out not Merlot but Carmenere 10 years ago. Then same as like a Pinotage ( actually it is a hybrid ) in South Africa, a lot of wineries have been getting to try to produce the quality wine with 100% Carmenere in these days.
Anyway, this was a really great wine. I thought it was like a 100% Merlot high quality wine, as if it was made by Cabernet Sauvignon. Do you ask me if it was like a Chateau Petrus ? I should answer " Yes, it is." I thought that it is the style of kind a crazy price wine.
