OCT 19 I went to Tamanegiya in Kagurazaka, a traditional Japanese restaurant that has a lot of super rare Sake stocks, with Mr. Ogawa and Mr. Saisho who were owner and manager of the restaurant I had worked in my student day, 25 years ago. Mr. Kinosita, owner of the restaurant, is a very good client of mine for over 10 years. We talked about our old stories a lot. It was so pleasant. Tamanegiya serves outstanding Sashimi that Mr. Kinoshita buys at Tsukiji market every morning. |

Then we tried two bottles of fine red wine Mr. Ogawa brought here. Jasper Hill Shiraz 2003 This was a Australian "Cult Wine". The wine made in Victoria by very small winery. I thought this was the style of like a Chateu Latour if the winery makes Syrah in Bordeaux. Chateau Talbot 1985 I didn't drink this 1985 for a long time. This showed me a very good perfect mature. Then Mr. Kinoshita gave us his house wine. Calyla Vines Cabernet Sauvignon 1998 This was a typical Australian big volume red wine. |
