Oct 7
I was getting to go Katsunuma, wine country in Japan, after I wake up this morning. It was very fine day today.
At first, I visited Mercian Katsunuma Winery without an appointment.
I saw the final picking Merlot arrived to the winery.
Mr. Ajimura, a chief winemaker, is my friend. We entered the Mercian at same time 22 years ago.
We talked about the harvest, the mature of wine and the wine market etc.

Then I checked a fermentation condition for BU Wine Club private harvest.
Unfortunately I was not able to the harvest Oct 2 because of my store system changing.
Ms. Suzuki and Ms. Akiyoshi, teachers of JAL Wine school, were in charge of "PIGEAGE" for BU cuvee today.
The members of BU Wine Club came to the winery for "PIGEAGE" by turns every day in this week. I thought "PIGEAGE" by such a beautiful ladies let the wine grow nicely.

After visiting Mercian, I went to some winery...
Sorry it was secret....

Then I went to Rubaiyat winery, one of the best "DOMAINE" wineries in Katsunuma.
I knew every winery was very very busy in these days. So I was going to just see the cellars and vineyards myself alone. First, I saw a "REMONTAGE" for Merlot at the cave.

Then I went to a shop oh the winery and was surprised to see famous Mr.Omura, owner & winemaker, working at the shop alone.
There were a lot of visitors first, so Mr.Omura looked very busy.
But then fortunately, all visitors disappeared without me. We talked about wine a lot, especially about South Africa wine.
Oh! I was a lucky man ! I was able to try to taste many great wines.
Thank you very much for Mr.Omura. Big news ! Soon Rubaiyat wines are newly going to arrive to Cave de Re-Lax.
After I went home. I went to YAKITORI restaurant near my house and drank Hoppy and Masumi Junmai-Ginjo.
I was not going to drink wine tonight, but I drank Nostrada Tempranillo a bit before went to bed.
