9/21 I have been very busy in these days.   1st Chateau Mercian Niitsuru Chardonnay 2003 Sample tasting Mr.Katsuno, a winemaker of Mercian I met yesterday at Mercian Katsunuma winery, produced this Chardonnay in Fukushima prefecture. I have admired this Chardonnay since first vintage, 2000. This was very big style wine. Even though 2003 vintage is very difficult because of very cool summer, this had a full bodied concentrated fruits and very good balance. I am going to buy this a lot as usual. This will release on October.   2nd Araldica Piemonte Barbera 2003 Sample tasting Below 900 yen We have a best sellers Italian white wine " Piemonte Cortese" made by same winery of this. I did not know the winner made red wine in this class. Oh ! This was great ! I was amassed at the quality of this red within this price. Very good balance and beautiful fruits. It was really easy to drink, but real good red wine. I love this style wine. I am absolutely going to buy this.
