I became 45years old the day before yesterday. 1st Suwa Roman Bear "Shirakaba" I bought this local bear at Nagasaki-Saketen yesterday. I felt a very creamy touch and a nice flavor of yeast. Good ! 2nd Masumi Junmai- Gionjo I bought this local Sake at the brewery. Very clean, really elegant. 3rd Turckheim Riesling Tradition 2003 1300 yen New arrival This new arrival was new vintage. The cooperative winery in Turckheim-Alsace was really reliable. Very good balance, very charming. |

4th Stark-Conde Shiraz 2002 2100 yen New arrival Stark-Conde was a regular range of one of the best South-African red "Conde?@Wine". We were able to buy this only once a year. I thought this style was a?@typical South African shiraz. The following was the technical by Jose,?@winemaker, "The grapes were hand harvested in mid- to late-February. Must?@was inoculated with a domestic yeast. Fermented in small open-top?@fermentation vats. Punched-down vigorously every 2-4 hours for the first?@half of fermentation and every 6-8 hours until dry. At dryness, the wine was?@basket-pressed and racked to barrel for malo-lactic fermentation and barrel?@maturation. Only 300l French oak was used, mostly 2nd-fill. Bottled unlined?@and unfiltered after 24 months barrel maturation. Varietal: 95% Shiraz, 5% Cabernet?@Rootstock: Richter 110, 99?@Fruit source: from own vineyards and one vineyard in Muldersvlei area of?@Paarl?@ Yield: 6-7 tons/hectare Total production: 8000 bottles ?B at harvest: 24-26??@ Alcohol: 14.5%" Oh ! it seemed a big job !
