8/8 I tasted a lot of samples with serious mode unusually. It was not fun for me.

1st Aruga Branca Clareza Distinctamente 2003 1700 yen A long name wine. I guessed it was a kind of Spanish wine, but It was Japanese white wine used 100% Koushu grape made by Katsunuma-Jozo winery. Aruga Branca means "Mr. Aruga's white wine, who is the owner of the winery. Very fruity, good acidity, full-bodied white wine. It was unusual that white wine matched with Yanaka shouga, my favorite baby gingers.

But this white was very good for Yanaka shouga. I thought this white was very good for all Japanese food. Very good.

2nd Chateau a Saint-Aubin Bourgogne Rouge 2000 1400 yen I did not know the winery. It was good wine. I thought 1400yen was not bad.
