3/8 I was invited a private wine-dinner by Ms.Laurie Hook, winemaker of famous California top winery Beringer. The party was held at the Lawry's at AKASAKA, well known American gogeous Prime Rib restaurant.

According to my image, Beringer is one of the most strong- powerful wines in California. So I had thought the big man coming there, but the winemaker coming here was a women, very cute and charming. I was very surprised.

I thought she was a typical California lady, Jolly and cheerful so much. I love Beringer wine and I have been to the winery twice time, then even though we met at first time, we hit it off well with each other. Anyway, the importer of Beringer Japan is Sapporo beer. So the first drink was beer ! It was very rare experience for me on such a kind of wine-dinner.

Very good ! Beringer Napa Merlot 1999 Concentrated ! Beringer Alluvium Red 1996 Wonderful ! Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve 1998 Oh! My.... I was moved ! I was impressed so much. I did confirm the Beringer was great again ! It was the special for me not only wines were great, but also the winemaker was sitting the front of me and she gave me the tip of the wines. I appreciated my self that I am wine merchant.
