Sant Romain , is unknown village neighboring famous Meaursault,
sometimes make a wonderful wine like this.
This is the great mature white Bourgogne. Wonderful !
Charles Krug Sangiovese ( ! ) 1999 private stock
It is a very rare stock ! Very difficult to find ! Charles Krug is private
winery owned by Peter Mondavi , who is brother of famous Robert Mondavi.
They had some trouble each other long time ago , so now the winery is no
concern with Robert Mondavi.
There are very few Charles Krug exported to Japan, so we rarely see the
brand is Japan even their popular items , Zinfandel or Cabernet Sauvignon.
Then this is the Sangiovese ! I did not see such a rare wine before.
Sangiovese is popular grape in Italy , not so popular in California.
I think that Mondavi family is children of immigrants from Italy , so they has
something special for the grape.
I got the wine from my friend as a gift from California.
I was amazed , was impressed so much. This is the great wine.
I am sure this is the best 5 California wine in my life.
