This is PERO-GUBI wine diary. PERO-GUBI means Good eating - Good drinking. I
am Kunio NAITO, who is owner of Cave de Re-Lax, which is one of popular
wine-shop in Tokyo, the writer of the diary. I am NOT good at writing
English, but I want to try to write my diary in English to let many my
friends all over the world know what I think, eat, drink and experience. I
have been writing the diary everyday in Japanese for 3 years. Over 10,000
people read the diary everyday in Japan! But English version will be coming
once a week after today.
I usually drink two bottles of wine with my wife or with my friend everyday.
But I always drink SAKE on 1st January morning with home made OSECHI which
is Japanese traditional foods to celebrate for new year.
KOKURYU is very rare, one of the most difficult SAKE to get recently, and
SIZUKU is the premium range of KOKURYU. We say the great SAKE is like water,
I could confirm the sentence due to drink this one.
2nd HAKURYU TARUZAKE
HAKURYU is the popular DOMAINE brewery in NIIGATA. Owner of the brewery is
my real old friend. This is also very good SAKE. I felt lots of fruit flavor
form the SAKE.

This is my best Bourgogne AOC under 000 that I have my store now.
Actually, this is the first bottle of wine for me 2004, because I drank this
bottle before I went to bed. Then I drank this one watching the EKIDEN race
on TV. umm... This is very nice.
I drunk the bottle after 5 hours nap. Remoisene is popular by their great
stock of the very old vintage selection. Even 1997 is very young vintage for
me. This is very good wine. There are big powerful fruit and very good
mature feeling.
5th Conti Zecca Primitivo 2000 private stock
This is from South Italy. It is recognized that Primitivo is same grape
variety of Zinfandel of California. This is the top cuvee from the one of
most large and popular winery in PUGLIA , which is located the high heel of
the boot at the Italian peninsula. Deep, dark, complex and elegant! Very
good!
Phew...big job for me. It was taken five times to write the English version
comparing with Japanese one. Let me know please my mistakes in English.
One of the reason why this English diary is it receive as many comments and
criticism on my English as you could kindly point out for me.
