Feb. 2
I joined to some maniac wine party at ARGO in Hanzomon.
Wine demons gathered brought their special stocks.
We tried to taste them by blind.

Oh! Maniac wines!

I brought Chateau Mercian Special Cuvee 1997.
It is made from 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot grown in the estate vineyards in Yamanashi and Nagano.
1997 was a great vintage in Japan.

Only 1999 bottles were produced in the presence of Mr. Paul Pontallier, who is the ex. general manager of Chateau Margaux.
Everybody said it was a matured great Bordeaux.
I was amazed at the beautiful mature with very fine fruits.

Everybody said they were “The Big Five Chateau” by blind tasting E. Gigal La Lamdonne 1985 and 1999.
I was sure again that “Super Rhone” showed as same as “Super Bordeaux” nuance.

Also, every dish was outstanding!

It was a kind of dream night.
Every devil went to heaven.

Thank you very much for all!

After the event, my train to home delayed a lot by accident.
I managed to come back home at the dead of night.
DOBON!
