No Wine Day
Nov. 10
We have been displaying Japan Yamanashi Nouveau 2017 at the front of the shop.
I received Japan Tottori Nouveau which I bought at Marugo in Yonago at my home.
1st Hojo Nouveau 2017 White 1380 yen
It is made from 100% Koshu grown in Tottori.
The regular Hojo White is a typical classic style of Koshu, a slightly sweet with rich body.
However, this Koshu is a modern style of Koshu, clean & fresh fruits, fine citrus with dry taste.
I like this one. It’s very tasty.
It is a very good Nouveau, I think.
It has been already out of stock on the web shop of the winery.
2nd Hojo Nouveau 2017 Red 1380 yen
The red is made from 100% Muscat Bailey-A grown in Tottori.
It is a typical style of Japan Nouveau red.
I felt light body, charming red berries, fine fruits and good acidity.
I didn’t feel any red candy flavor, which some no good Bailey-A has.
It is very light but has good-healthy grape essence.
The red is also very good Japan Nouveau, I think.
Because it is very difficult to find Hojo wine in Tokyo, I could have a very good tasting today.
