Marusan Winery

Sep. 8

By the way to home from Tsurumaki-Onsen, I got very fresh fishes.

Then I cooked dinner, Temaki-Sushi.

 They were excellent.

1st Marusan Winery Miwakubo Koshu Hyaku 2016

It was a gift from some wine professional.

Marusan Winery is an old big family and land owner in Katsunuma Yamanashi.

I tasted this at first time.

It is made from 100% Koshu grown in Katsunuma.

I felt rich fruits as Koshu wine at first.

Then I felt a slight tannin and bitter in the after taste.

They were a good accent.

It is very natural and fruity.

Well, I was sure it is a very fine Koshu wine.

It was also very good for Temaki-Sushi.

The price is around 1,500 yen.

It is a very high cost performance.

2nd Marusan Winery Baily-A 2016

It was a gift, too.

It is made from 100% Muscat Bailey-A grown in Katsunuma.

I felt charming red berries, nice acidity, silky tannin and nice after taste.

I didn’t feel any “Labrusca” smell or flavor.

Tasty!

It was very good for Temaki-Sushi.

The price is around 1,300 yen.

It’s a big bargain, I think.
