I joined to a wine seminar organized by Hokkaido Wine Academy as a guest teacher.
The seminar was held at Hokkaido University.
The campus was so beautiful.
Hokkaido Wine Academy is operated by Hokkaido Government in order to support young winemakers and grape growers.
The seminar was held from 9:00 to 17:00.
It was a long seminar.
There were three guest teachers.
Mr. Hans Peterson from Cornell University
Ms. Yumi Tanabe from Wine & Wine Culture
Mr. Kunio Naito from Cave de Relax
At first, Mr. Peterson, who is a professional grape grower in Finger Lake, New York , lectured how to control grape growing at the cold area.
Then I lectured how Hokkaido Wine approaches the market.
Finally, we had a wine tasting led by Ms. Tanabe, who is a famous wine specialist in Japan.
We tasted seven bottles of fine Finger Lake wine.
Every student studied very hard.
I hope I did good job.
Thank you very much for inviting such a great opportunity.
I took a late night flight to Tokyo.
I had a nice sushi dinner at the airport sushi bar.
I tasted a half bottle of Medoc at the lobby.
Very tired…..
