I had some meeting dinner at Monfa in Nakano.
I enjoyed very much the fine Szechuan Chinese cuisines here as usual.
I also enjoyed the BYO wines, too.
1st Heritage Vannieres Rose 2016 2,000 yen
This rose is the bottom range cuvee of Chateau Vannieres, which is a very popular winery in Bandol, Provence.
It is made from 40% Cinsault, 30% Grenache and 30% Mourvedle.
The color is light and the taste is soft and natural.
However, this rose has very a fine “fines”.
It has a very dense, deep and comfortable taste.
It well-received the hot taste of the Szechuan Chinese.
2nd La Croix Gratiot Les Zazous Rouge 2015 2160 yen
It is the top cuvee of the winery, which is a very popular producer of Picpour de Pinet.
It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the estate vineyard near the Mediterranean.
It is a very cool style of Pinot Noir.
I felt very fine red berries, silky tannins and very fine minerals.
The after taste is really long and comfortable.
It made a great marriage with Szechuan Chinese.
So delicious!
