May 18
I cooked dinner, Temaki-Sushi.
I got a lot of very fresh seafood.
It was very difficult to open a big wild oyster.
My hand became bloody.
Is it too much for two persons?
No, we ate all.
1st Gassan Winery Koshu Sur Lie 2015 1890 yen
It’s a really great Koshu.
Gassan Winery grows the northern limit Koshu vines.
Its quality is obviously getting better by year and year.
It felt very nice citrus, rich fruits, fine minerals and long after taste.
I think this is ranked among the Japan’s top 10 Koshu wines.
I think it has the best cost performance in all Koshu.
2nd Asahimachi Wine Kashiwabara Vineyard Late Harvest 2015 1620 yen
It is made from 100% Muscat Bailey-A grown in Kashiwabara Vineyard in Yamagata.
It got a gold medal for the second straight year at Japan Wine Competition.
The vineyard is located at the highest altitude in the area.
It is probably the latest harvest Baily-A in Japan.
I felt fine red aroma, concentrated red fruits, silky tannin and comfortable after taste.
It is ranked in the top class Bailey-A, I think.
It is absolutely ranked in the top cost performance Bailey-A, I think.
