At first, I arrived at Enzan Station by train and visited to Kanzo- Yashiki, an old big house.

I saw a lot of Hina-Ningyo dolls.

They were so beautiful.

Then I moved to Katsununa Station.

There were a lot of cherry trees in full bloom.

I had a nice wine lunch at Papa Solotte.

Then I went to MAGVs Winery in Todoroki, Katsunuma, which is a coming-soon new winery.

The winery is owned by a local precision instrument manufacture.

The cellar building used to be a semiconductor factory.

At first, I tried to taste the first vintage bottles led by Mr. Matsuzaka, who is the owner, and Mr. Sodeyama, who is the wine maker.

MAGVs winery produced their wine from only Koshu and Muscat Bailey-A grown in the local area.

I tasted four glasses of Koshu wine made from different vineyards and one glass of rose wine made from Muscat Bailey-A.

IMG_8934

Each glass had a different unique character.

I was sure all of bottles had very high qualities.

IMG_8936

The same character of all glasses I felt was very clean acidity, fine citrus, rich fruits and nice minerals.

So tasty!

Then I was guided to the cellar by Mr. Sodeyama.

I was surprised at seeing the cellar.

All facilities are the most recent ones and very well organized.

IMG_8950

They use some of same equipment from semiconductor factory, for example cleaner, air-conditioner.

IMG_8962

They are also very good for the quality control for the winemaking, aren’t you?

Finally, I saw their vineyards guided by Mr. Matsuzaka.

IMG_8973

They were so beautiful, very well-organized.

IMG_8981

Thank you very much for Mr. Matuzaka and Mr. Sodeyama.

IMG_8984

I am really looking forward to tasting your new wines.

IMG_8988

Then I moved to Marufuji Winery and buy special bottles which were sold at only the winery shop.

IMG_8990

Very good job!

Then I moved to Kofu.

By the way, I saw beautiful peach blossoms from the window of the train.

IMG_9003

Then I had a nice Yakitori and Yamanashi wine dinner at some traditional local restaurant.
