Jul. 27
I will be traveling in Hokkaido in three days from today.
After I arrived at Shin-Chitose Airport, I visited to Grace Chitose Winery at first.
Mr. Aoki, the Cellar Master, and Mr. Kurosu, a sales, welcomed me.
The cellar looked better than before.
Mr. Misawa, the owner of the winery, led a tasting for me.
I tasted Pinot Noir Rose and Kerner.
They were so beautiful.
Both of them has a fantastic charming acidity.
After the visit winery, I moved to Sapporo and met Mr. Etienne Montille, the owner of Domaine Montille in Burgundy.
Oh! He is a very important person!
By some accident reasons, Etienne and I will visit to Hokkaido wineries tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
Then we went to Wine Shop Fujii, avery popular wine shop in the central Sapporo.
Mr. Fujii, the owner of the shop and his staff welcomed us.
They seemed to be very happy to see Etienne at their shop.
Fujii-san let us taste Yamazaki Pinot Noir 2012, a very rare Hokkaido wine.
We enjoyed the tasting very much.
Thank you very much for Fujii-san.
Then we went to “Hanakoji Sawata” a fine Japanese restaurant.
Mr. Bruce Gutlove, the owner of 10R Winery in Iwamizawa and Mr. Kondo, the owner of Kondo Vineyards in Mikawa joined us.
Each of us brought their favorite wine and had a wine party.
Every wine today is super fine, very rare, very difficult to find.
We enjoyed these wine very much with also very fine Hokkaido cuisines.
Also we enjoyed a lot for deep wine talking.
It was a wonderful party.
I felt as if I were in some dream.
Thank you very much for everyone!
