Apr. 13
Unusually, I went home early.
I was able to drink wine in relax.
1st Chateau Fongrave Blanc 2014 1230 yen
It is a Bordeaux wine produced by “Francois”, a friend of mine.
It’s a unique style of dry white wine made from 100% Semillon.
I felt rich fruits, elegant citrus and comfortable minerals.
It was very good for Japanese traditional dishes tonight.
Tasty!
2nd Chateau Fongrave Rouge 2011 1420 yen
The red is made from Merlot 90% and Cabernet Franc 10%.
We held a Fongrave wine seminar in early this month when Framed visited to Tokyo.
All of the participants there surprised at the outstanding quality of this red wine.
Exactly, the price under 1500 yen is ultra-super-reasonable, I think.
I felt concentrated-elegant fruits, silky tannins and very long aftertaste.
I am sure it is an outstanding Bordeaux red in this class.
