No Wine Day

It is the Hina Festival today.
It was a day of cold rain.
I had a Temaki-sushi for dinner.
Kihada-Maguro, Kochi, Firefly-squid, Madai, Yari-ika, Shrimp, Salmon, Tuna-mayo, Cucumber
Today’s firefly-squid is from Toyama.
It was about four times the price of the firefly squid from Hyogo that I usually buy at the supermarket.
It was very fresh, big, and really delicious.
Today’s Wine
Chase the Grape Albarino 2023 5,000 yen
I wanted to drink a fine Japanese white wine, so I opened Chase the Grape Albarino.
This is a wine made by my son with 100% Albarino from Yamagata Sagae.
He produced it at Cave d’Occi winery in Niigata.
Among the all of Chase the Grapes, I think this Albarino is of outstanding quality.
I felt clear fruits flavor, citrus acidity, and sharpened minerality.
Personally, I think it is in the upper class of Japanese white wines.
As expected, Cave d’Occi!
