Jan. 6
I went to visit Hase-dera Temple in Kamakura for the New Year.

Even though it was a weekday, I was surprised that there were few people in “Matsunouchi” Kamakura on the 6th of the new year.

This year, I was able to pay my respects slowly.

Today, from the precincts of Hase-dera Temple, you can see Sagami Bay and the Miura Peninsula.

From Enoden, I could clearly see the Izu Peninsula, Izu Oshima, and Mt. Fuji.

On the way home, I bought sushi ingredients, and today’s dinner was the first Temaki-sushi of the year.
Hon-Maguro, Madai, Sayori, Inada, Aji, Sushi-ebi, Salmon, eel, Tuna-mayo

I bought the eel at the specialty store “Miyagawa”. One skewer is a whopping 2,500 yen!
It is more than three times the price of the eel I usually buy at the supermarket.
I closed my eyes and gritted my teeth before buying.
Temaki-sushi is delicious. Thanks for Temaki-sushi.
Today’s Wine
Chase the Grape Identity 2024 4,200 yen

This wine is mainly made from Chardonnay harvested in Yamanashi and fermented with wild yeast.
I felt transparent fruits flavor, gentle acidity and pleasant minerality.
It has a flavorful taste that allows you to feel the flavor of the grapes.
Temaki-sushi and Chase the Grape are a very good combination.
Thanks for Temaki-sushi.
