Fine Japan wine with Temaki-sushi

Oct. 31

No Wine Day

Nov. 1

It’s November.

Halloween is over, and the city will soon be all about Christmas decorations.

But, it doesn’t hit me at all.

Today’s dinner is Temaki-sushi.

Hon-Maguro, yellowtail, Madai, Shrimp, Squid, Raw-whitebait, Salmon, Tuna-mayo, Cucumber

The Hon-Maguro was expensive.

I closed my eyes and bought it.

It was really delicious.

Today’s Wine

Hamada Vineyard Chardonnay 2020 6,000 yen

I wanted to drink some fine Japan wine to go with the Temaki-sushi, so I opend the Chardonnay from Hamada Vineyard in Mikasa, Hokkaido.

I felt fresh fruits flavor that you can’t believe has been aged for 5 years, sharp acidity unique to Hokkaido, and just the right amount of minerality.

It has a thicker the body after more I drink it.

The more nuances of aging appeared.

After all, this Chardonnay is wonderful.

I bought in bulk, so I still have stock, but let’s drink it carefully.
