It is an eel that has been thoroughly resteamed with a homemade sauce based on wine, soy sauce, and mirin.
The rice is cooked with homemade sauce, broth and ginger.
Steamed Eel Rice is delicious.
Wine of the Day
Belles du Sud Pinot Noir 2023 1,100 yen
As same as the Chardonnay which I tasted the day before yesterday, it is a wine that I develop and import for the Seven & i Group’s supermarkets.
It is made from 100% Pinot Noir harvested from vineyards close to the sea.
During the growing season of grapes in this vineyard, sea fog almost always occurs in the morning and evening. It is said that the fog protects the grapes and vines from sunburn.
Even in the Languedoc region, where the temperature is high, it is a cool micro climate.
I felt fresh red fruits, crunchy acidity and minerality.
The mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing.
It’s a good Pinot Noir.
Pinot Noir goes well with a Eel Rice.
