My first grandchild was born

No Wine Day

Aug. 31

I’m sorry to interrupt you, but my first grandchild was born this morning.

Weight 3,361 grams.

Thanks to you, both mother and child are doing well.

It’s a boy.

I’m glad.

Even though he has just been born, he has hair.

I envy him.

Today, I made Mediterranean-style Chirashi-sushi.

Since it was a celebration, I bought expensive raw tuna.

1st Chase the Grape Sauvignon Blanc 2019

This is the first vintage of Chase the Grape made by my son.

Since it is a celebration, I pulled out one of my precious stocks.

This wine was test-made by my son during his training at Denton Vieux Hill Vineyard in the Yarra Valley, Australia.

After 5 years of aging, the taste has gained depth.

I felt thick and complex fruits flavor, clean acidity and elegant minerality.

As expected, Denton’s grapes are powerful.

It reminded me of the term beginner’s luck.

It was a suitable wine for the celebration of the birth of my grandchild.

2nd Joostenberg Baker Mat 2017

I wasn’t sure what to pull out of the red, but I pulled out the advanced cuvée from Joostenberg, which my son had taken care of during his wine training in South Africa.

It has an expensive wine taste.

It has a noble taste that makes you feel amazing.

It was a wine suitable for the memorial day.
