It’s August in the blink of an eye.

 

 

Today’s dinner is my summer classic dish, Mediterranean-style Chirashi-sushi.

 

 

Maguro, Salmon, Madai, Red Mackerel, Steamed Scallops, Small Shrimp, Cherry Tomato, Cress

 

 

It is seasoned only with olive oil, balsamic and lemon.

It’s easy to make and has a lot of feasting feeling.

 

 

It also goes well with wine.

 

 

 

1st Marquis de Beau Rond Rose 2022 1,050 yen

It is a rose wine from Languedoc near the Mediterranean.

I felt plenty of charming fruitiness.

I also felt gentle fluffy mouthfeel and pleasant aftertaste.

It is a delicious rose wine no matter when you drink it.

It was perfect for today’s sushi.

 

 

2nd bottle Tortues en Crique Sauvignon Blanc 2022 1,180 yen

The second bottle is also connected to the Mediterranean, and is a Sauvignon from Languedoc.

I felt thick, rich fruit flavor with well-balanced acidity and minerality.

I’m happy with the pure mouthfeel.

In the summer, a chilled Sauvignon Blanc is a good choice.
