Following yesterday, “Hokkaido Sorachi Wine Evening”

8/4

Following yesterday, I participated in the “Hokkaido Sorachi Wine Evening” held at the 28th floor hall of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Head Office East Building.

The guest winemakers on the second day are Mr. Bruce Gutlove of 10R Winery and Mr. Yuki Kubodera of Hosui Winery.

I had the opportunity to meet Bruce at a wine-related event, but it’s been a while since I’ve met Mr. Kubodera.

Each wine is unique and excellent.

They are hard to come by.

It’s the second time I drink Coco 10R Chardonnay 2021 here.

This wine is made from Chardonnay grown at Kimura Farm in Yoichi-cho and produced by Bruce’s cellar in Iwamizawa.

I felt the cool feeling unique to northern wines and the condensed tropical fruits that you can’t imagine in the north.

You will be amazed by the elegance and quality of Burgundy’s top wines.

I drank Ebeotsu’s “Honoka” for the first time. A blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc from Takikawa.

Long-term barrel fermentation with wild yeast for 2 months, and 6 months of barrel aging in contact with the lie.

I felt a gentle mouthfeel, a rich fruit flavor that feels sweet, and a deep mineral feeling.

A mysterious wine with a style that is different from any other wine that I have tried countless times.

And yet so delicious.

This is an interesting wine.

The Hokkaido hors d’oeuvre that I had yesterday and today’s wine also showed an outstanding marriage.

Commemorative photo with Mr. Nagasaka from Iwamizawa City Hall, the organizer.

Thank you very much for inviting me to this important event two days in a row.
