1st Kizan Sparkling Traditional Brut NV  2933 yen

I bought this sparkling wine at the winery last month.

It is made from 100% Koshu grown in Yakamanashi by the traditional method as same as Champagne.

The slight yarrow color says it was took a long maturing.

I felt beautiful babbles, gorgeous fruits, nice acidity and fine minerals.

The mouth feel was so comfortable.

I was sure that the quality of this one was far better than some of Champagne.

I am amazed that Koshu becomes such high quality sparkling wine.

Kizan sparkling wine has kept evolving so much.

2nd Kizan Wine Red 2020  1362 yen

I bought this red wine at the winery last month, too.

It is made from 100% Black Queen, a hybrid grape in Japan, grown in Yamanashi.

I felt some strong acidity, which is the character of the variety, dense fruits, mild tannin and long after taste.

I have been tasting Kizan red for about 20 years.

I am sure that this red has kept evolving, too.

All of the Kizan Wine products will be remodeled from 2021 vintage.

This one is the last model of the existing Kizan Wine.
