Bruce’s Winemakers Dinner in Hakuba

Mar. 4

No Wine Day

Mar. 5

I took a Shinkansen and went to Nagano.

I arrived at Nagano Station afternoon.

Then I went to Hakuba by bus.

I arrived at Hotel de La Naige early evening.

I stayed at a gorgeous room.

I joined in a winemaker’s dinner party organized by Yoshida-san who is the restaurant manager in the hotel.

He is very well known as a specialist of Japan Wine.

He chose and served the ceremony wines for the 34th G8 Hokkaido-Toyako Summit in 2008.

The guest winemaker today is Bruce Gutlove who is the owner & winemaker of 10R Winery in Hokkaido.

He is a friend of mine.

We have kept a good relationship for a long time.

However, it was the first time I joined his winemaker’s dinner.

I was so impressed in his outstandingly big energy and passion for wine.

All of the dishes were excellent, so delicious.

All of the wines are very fine, unique, individual and tasty.

We deeply enjoyed the fabulous wine party today.

I was very happy to join in this event.

Thank you very, very much!
