1st Essay White 2021 980 yen
It is made from mainly Chenin Blanc with Roussanne & Viognier grown in West Cape in South Africa.
It is made by Mr. Tyrrell Myburgh, who is the owner & Winemaker of Joostenberg.
I felt bright fruits, very fine citrus and very good minerals.
It’s so tasty! It’s very delicious!
The name has a word play.
“SA” is the popular way of saying ” South Africa” in SA.
The pronunciation is as same as Essay…
2nd Joostenberg Family Blend Red 2018 1450 yen
This “SA” red wine is made by Tyrell, too.
It is made from 51% Syrah, 27% Cinsault, 12% Mourvedre, 8% Touriga Nacional, 1% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the estate vineyards by organic method.
Because the blend proportion rate of Cinsault has increased recently, the taste has become softer and milder.
Alcohol degree is 13%, which is low in SA.
I felt rich fruits, elegant acidity and comfortable mouthfeel.
Tyrell makes only very delicious wine!
I think he is a genius winemaker!
