Hewitt Doube ++ Unveiling Dinner

Jan. 14

The new vintage of Hewitt Doube ++ 2018, which is a cult wine of Napa, arrived.

I was invited to the unveiling dinner party.

The dinner started with Champagne Delamotto.

Then they served Leroy Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot 2014.

What a gorgeous starting is this!

The event was held at Iizaka, a traditional French restaurant in Yotsuya.

They serve very authentic cuisines with luxury ingredients.

Amazingly, they cooked a red wine sauce today with two bottle of Hewitt Double ++ 2018!!

I have already dealt 2017 Hewitt Double ++.

Both 2017 and 2018 vintages have a similar style.

They are made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon growing in Napa Valley.

I felt extremely elegant fruits, outstandingly beautiful acidity and tannins.

Especially, I was moved by fabulously seamless mouthfeel.

I felt 2018 vintage had a slight clearer acidity.

I was sure that both of bottles were far outstanding-special wine.

Finally, we were served Chateau d’Yquem 1991!

It was an extremely fantastic dinner.

Thank you very much indeed!
