It was a day-off.

I went to a walk as well.

 

I went to Kanai-machi, where is a next town.

 

 

 

 

There were a lot of sloping roads.

 

 

 

 

I went up and down on the old path.

It was a hard walk for me.

 

 

After the walking, I cooked dinner.

1st Sapporo Fujino Winery Nakai Natural Sparkling 2020  2980 yen

I bought this one at R the wine shop in Kobe last month.

It is made from mainly Muller Thurgau with a little Kerner grown in Nakai Vineyards in Yoichi Hokkaido.

It is fermented by the wild yeast without sulfur and produced the traditional method.

The taste was really natural.

I felt natural babbles, elegant fruits, fine citrus and good minerals.

I remember some fine bio sparkling wine tasted at Languedoc.

I didn’t know that you have such fine sparkling wine in Hokkaido.

Delicious!

 

 

2nd Furano Wine Syrah 2019s

I was gifted this one from Mr. Takahasi, who is the winemaker of Furano Wine in Hokkaido.

Syrah is usually planted in the hot climate area.

Furano is one of the coldest areas in Japan.

I don’t know the winery grows Syrah.

Anyway, it is a very fine Syrah.

I felt charming aroma, dense fruits, beautiful acidity, silky tannin and comfortable mouthfeel.

The style is different from Cotes du Rhone but similar to Burgundy, I think.

I didn’t know that you have such fine Syrah wine in Hokkaido.

It was a Hokkaido night!
