No Wine Day
Jan. 19
I visited the grave of my parents near Ikebukuro.
By the way to home, I dropped at “Winter Hokkaido Fair” held in Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro.
I visited Furano Wine booth and met Mr. Takahashi, who is the winemaker of the winery.
Furano Wine is distributed in only Hokkaido.
I was very happy to get several bottles of Furano Wine.
Thank you very much, Takahasi-san!
1st Cueva Orange 2018 2980 yen + tax
Also, By the way to home today, I dropped at Liquor Morisawa in Tama Newtown and bought this orange wine.
Cueva is a popular “Natural Wine” producer in Valencia Spain.
It is made from 60% Tardana and 40% Macabeo macerated for 15 days without sulfur.
I felt strong orange citrus aroma, very good acidity and very natural fruits flavor.
What a delicious orange wine is this!
Especially, daimajo-sama loves such style natural wine very much!
Thank you very much, Mirisawa-san!
2nd Kusunoki Winery Pinot Noir 2018 3600 yen + tax
Because the first wine was very natural and elegant, I wanted to taste some similar style red wine.
Then I chose this Pinot Noir made in Nagano Japan.
The back label said, “You should open this bottle after autumn in 2021.”
The label was true.
At first, I didn’t feel any aroma.
The taste was very solid.
After the five minute swirling, good red berry aroma and charming fruits were coming up.
It is tasty but I had to wait for opening this one.
But I was sure again that Kusunoki Pinot Noir had a big potential.
