On-line wine seminar

Sep. 19

I took an on-line wine seminar organized by Committee of Alsace Wines (CIVA).

The lectures were Mr. Thierry Fritsch, Oenologue of CIVA, and Beppu-san, wine specialist in Cave de Relax.

It was the first time that I had took an on-line seminar.

I didn’t know what would be happened but I enjoyed a real time talking between Alsace and Japan very much.

I was sure the on-line seminar was one of good matters in wine business.

1st Turckheim Cremant d’Alsace Brut NV  2300 yen + tax

Because I took the Alsace wine seminar, I want to taste some Alsace wine.

It is made from Pinot Blanc and Pinot Auxerrois, which is the most popular blend of Cremant d’Alsace.

I felt elegant babbles, crisp fruits, nice citrus and fine minerals.

The taste is very pure and natural.

It is very tasty.

I don’t know about the character of Pinot Auxerrois in Alsace very much.

I wanted to know about it but I couldn’t get it in today’s seminar, as well.

2nd Judith Beck Traminer 2018  2680 yen + tax

I didn’t have other Alsace wine today.

I looked for something similar Alsace wine in my stock and found this orange wine.

It is made from Roter Traminer, Gelber Traminer grown in Austria by biodinamie.

Both grape varieties are brother of Gewurztraminer.

I felt rich fruits, nice acidity and nice minerals.

I also felt comfortable tannin from orange wine method and spicy nuance from grape variety character.

It was very good for a pork cutlet cooked by daimajo-sama today.

Very good!
