No Wine Day
Jun. 6
I watched “Usuke Boys”, which is a wine movie featured the relationship of young wine makers and a legend old wine maker in Japan, on amazon prime video.
The legend wine maker ,” the late Mr. Usuke Asai, is my old boss in Mercian.
It’s a very nice movie.
Then I cooked dinner.
Bonito Carpaccio
Mebaru Acqua Pazza.
Very good!
1st Fujicco Winery Koshu Sur Lie 2018 1,700 yen + tax Because I watched Japan Wine movie today, I wanted to taste Japan Wine.
It is made from 100% Koshu grown in Yamanashi.
I like the fresh aroma, crispy fruits and nice minerals.
It is a very good Koshu Sur Lie.
Mr. Usuke Asai produced the first Koshu Sur Lie in 1984.
2nd Chateau Mercian Muscat Bailey-A 2017 1830 yen + tax There was not any full-blown red wine produced by100% Mucat Bailey-A when Mr. Asai was alive.
How does he think if he know the big success of this grape variety today.
They thought it was a junk grape variety before.
But such elegant red wine is produced by this grape.
I felt fresh aroma, charming red berries, nice acidity and good mouthfeel.
It is truly fine red wine!
