2/23
Feb. 23
It was the third day in Hokkaido.
I was in the working mode today.
I moved to Yoichi and met Mr. & Mrs. Fujii, the owner of Wine Shop Fujii in Sapporo.
Then we visited to Mongamudani Winery, which is a new small winery in Yoichi.
Mr. Kihara, the owner & winemaker, started the grape growing and wine making five years ago.
He grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, etc. by organic method.
He produces his wine from only his own grapes.
He made the cellar by rebuilding old house’s stones.
The cellar is a small but very well organized.
Then we tasted his 2018 vintage wines from the tank.
I was surprised at their very high qualities.
Cave de Relax started to sell Mongakudani Wine since the end of last year.
They have already got a very good reputations.
I know the reason why Mongakudani high reputations by visiting here.
At the night, we joined to Yoichi Wine Party held at The Yoichi City Hall.
There were many, so many people.
I disturbed the job at my friend’s wineries booths.
Also I met many wine makers, grape growers and wine professionals.
It was a very nice party.
After the party, I went to some traditional bar with my wine friends.
We enjoyed fine dishes and nice wine.
At last, we moved to a Karaoke bar.
We sang, sang, sang and sang.
I don’t remember the details there.
DOOOBOOON!!!
