Jan. 8
I participated in Mongakudani Winery tasting event.
Mongakudani Winery is a new winery established last year in Yoichi Hokkaido.

Mr. & Mrs. Kihara grow seven grape varieties by organic method and produce wine by field blending and using wild yeasts.

I tried to taste three vintages, which were 2015, 2016 and 2017.
They produced 2015 and 2016 at 10R Winery in Iwamizawa.
I also tasted Pinotage white wine, which is produces only 20 liter.

I felt big-deep fruits and fine-long acidity.
I was sure that they were very special wine.
I think the winery hold big promise for the future.
In the evening, I joined in the new-year party organized by California Wine Institute Japan held at Prime 42.
The staff of California Wine importers gathered there.

We saw a beautiful Tokyo night view.

Everybody brought a recommended California Wine.

We enjoyed nice foods, nice wine and nice talking.

Thank you very much!
